Todd Hunter started mortgage broking in 2002 with Aussie Home Loans.
Todd soon began building his own personal property portfolio and was setting up investment loans for clients who wanted to invest but not knowing where to buy. He would tell them where he was investing and clients then asked if he was able to execute the transaction for them. As so was born wHere Property.
Within 15 months of writing home loans for Aussie Home Loans, Todd left Aussie and went to become an independent Mortgage Broker and Buyer’s Agent.
Todd always believed that when investing in property there should be a plan with a definite exit strategy in mind so from there Todd continued to build his own property portfolio thus along came a fast growing client base following Todd’s locations to invest. This attraction also saw the wHere ? group team grow with mortgage brokers also joining and investing in the property division.
This growth continued until Todd and girlfriend Tanja reached a personal portfolio of fifty (50) investment properties held at the same time, by late 2006.
So then came the next phase in Todd’s investment plan, sell approximately a third of the portfolio and buy a waterfront home with cash.
Being that this transaction was a “love” buy and Todd wanting to get a “buy of the century” this took another 2 years to finalise and he is nestled now in bays of Port Hacking.
Phase three in Todd’s plan now is to utilize his home as security to go investing again as not having a home loan, nor rent to pay each week, allows him to rapidly grow his portfolio again.
This phase will see him build a property portfolio to create a passive income. This will be combined with a growing portfolio built inside his own SMSF as well.
Todd’s idea of fun is enjoying time with friends, and enjoying what he does in his work, he says, “if don’t enjoy what you do and have fun every day, that’s when it’s time to do something else, something I’ll never do”.

Rebecca Hona from an early age always knew that buying property was the best source of achieving your financial goals.
By age 21, she and her partner had 3 properties all with accumulated capital, so with this they decided to sell all 3 and build the home they wanted, plus have a mortgage of less than half the value, something most people her age may have struggled to do.
Rebecca began her career in finance with La Trobe Finance in 2005 as a relationship manager servicing the needs of mortgage brokers in NSW.
As the finance market continued to shift and change, an opportunity to work with a growing Mortgage Manager and structure loans up to 105% was all to good to pass up and so began her career creating products with a mortgage manager to best suit the needs of customers throughout Sydney and WA in particular.
After 2.5 years, Rebecca saw the opportunities to assist Mortgage brokers closely and began working with Loan Market Group, the preferred finance provider for Ray White Real Estate. As the State Manager, she assisted over 150 brokers across NSW with the training of new policies and procedures, along with helping them establish themselves as a business person in their area of operation.
“Having access to finance via a Real Estate agent should be the most important part of the buying process, it amazes me how many customers are not offered this service, especially as the service is free”.
After a long time with the Loan Market Group, Rebecca decided to branch out and join the wHere ? Group. “In our current financial climate, who better to work with than a company who can help everyday aspirational people achieve their financial and personal goals”.

In 2002 Anthony wanted to start investing and after taking an interest in the finance and property market decided to start his portfolio of property investments. At the time Anthony was a foreman for a large construction company and hadn’t even thought about a career in finance so they called in the services of a Mortgage broker to co ordinate his finance needs.
Applying for his own finance needs, Anthony saw this career path as an interesting change, and one that he felt inspired to undertake, so Anthony for the next 12months studied part time and obtained his Certificate IV in Mortgage Lending whilst still maintaining his job as a foreman.
In 2004 Anthony started working as a mortgage broker with Choice Home Loans in Ingleburn. In March 2005 Anthony achieved settlements of loans that saw him in the Top Ten Mortgage Brokers for Choice Home Loans NSW. In the next 12 months, he repeated this achievement another six times. As a result of this the Ingleburn office was ranked No:2 franchise in NSW.
Anthony always knew that property investments were his passion and over time referred many of his own clients to wHere ? property for the investment needs, so it was no surprise when he decided that working as a finance broker with the wHere ? group should be the next move he make
Since joining the wHere group Anthony has again gone back to the books and now holds:

• Buyer’s Agent Registration Certificate
• PS146 Diploma in Financial Planning
